Stephanie Jones named Editor-in-Chief of "Conscience of the Congress: How the Congressional Black Caucus Changed America"

“Conscience of the Congress” – to be published by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation – commemorates the Congressional Black Caucus’ 40th anniversary by highlighting the positive impact that the CBC has had on American politics and society since its founding in 1971.

“The Congressional Black Caucus has helped to improve the lives of all Americans since its founding in 1971,” said Stephanie Jones. “I’m delighted to be a part of this tremendously important project that will tell the story of the CBC’s success in bridging gaps and bringing America closer to its promise.”

“We are excited about this historic book and very pleased that Stephanie is our editor,” said Dr. Elsie Scott, President and CEO of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. “Her unique combination of policy expertise, editorial acumen and insight into the history and meaning of the Congressional Black Caucus make her the ideal person to lead this project.”

“Conscience of the Congress” will be released this fall.
